Notes: One glance at the K'Vort class cruiser is enough to see the intention of its designers. Virtually identical to the B'Rel class Bird of Prey, but the K'Vort is three times the length and approximately twenty five times the volume of the smaller ship. The extra size has been used by the designers to provide an extra torpedo tube, replace the type-8 disrupters with type-10 models and install a secondary armament of six type-8. The thickness of armor across the ship has been increased and the shield system has been upgraded. Other systems have also been uprated aswell.

The K'Vort class vessel entered service in 2354, and has remained in the fleet ever since. An extensive program of refits has kept them front-line vessels, when the Vor'Cha class took over that role. Since this time the K'Vort class has mostly seen service patrolling borders such as that with the Romulans, or as a squadron leader for B'rel Class ships. The K'Vort class was called upon during the Klingons war with the Cardassians and the brief conflict with the Federation, where it performed well. Recently it has also been in action against the Dominion where it has also performed well. The sheer numbers deployed mean that this design should continue to see service well into the next century.
