Step 1. Cut plaster cloth into strips and set aside
Step 2: Use Vaseline and electrical tape and plastic bags to cover eyelashes back through hair.
Step 3: Fill bowl with warm water and dip plaster strips into water then place on clean face from nose up.
Now This was a Fun Time!!
Step 4: Take plaster mold gently off face.
* Have person make crazy expression in order to ease release*
This gives us plaster cast # 1
Step 5: Use fan/blow-dryer to dry inside of plaster mold. Set aside for 2 hours to dry
Takes about 3 hours
Step 6: Use Vaseline or petroleum jelly to coat inside of plaster cast #1
Step 7: Using a cardboard box, pieces of cardboard, and newspaper place the cast in side a box and shore up the sides using spare cardboard pieces
and duct tape. We used a Bucket full of sand.. You need to be careful you don't get sand on the nose area.
Step 8: Mix enough plaster to cover plaster cast #1
Step 9: Let cure for 2 hours.
Now you have plaster cast # 2
Takes about 3 hours
OK here is a Idea I did.. after the cast#2 is hard. Spray paint it with a clear paint. this will make it easier to remove the cast#3.
Step 10: Clean Vaseline off of face with damp cloth
Step 11: Work up clay and place a small amount on face for ridge line etc.
Step 12: Sculpt forehead to liking. From 1 hour to 24 hour???
Takes 2 hours to 26 hours
Step 13: When finished cover what plaster is left showing with Vaseline
Step 14: place face on large piece of cardboard.
Step 15: Spray face with spray paint, let completely dry; about 30 minutes
Step 16: Mix enough plaster to cover plaster cast #2
Step 17: Wait till plaster is cake batter consistency and then pour by hand onto plaster cast #2 trying to make sure there are no air bubbles also
being careful not to get plaster underneath face.
Step 18: Once face is covered with with plaster
Step 19: Let plaster cure for 2 hours
Step 20: Then separate plaster cast #2 from plaster mold.
Step 21: Then clean Vaseline and clay from plaster cast # 3
Step 22: Then rinse once thoroughly with water
Step 23: Next place liquid latex in mold and move mold to thoroughly coat the inside of it with latex
Step 24: The repeat till desired thickness.
Step 25: allow each layer to dry in front of oven till dry; approximately 20 minutes to an hour per layer.
Takes about 3 to 6 hours
Use sprit gum or latex, to attach the headpiece to your head.
